Established within the renowned Faculty of Architecture at the University of Moratuwa, the Department of Building Economics is the pioneer and premier academic body in Sri Lanka offering internationally accredited undergraduate degree programmes:
- Bachelor of Science Honours in Quantity Surveying (accredited by RICS, AIQS, PAQS, and IQSSL)
- Bachelor of Science Honours in Facilities Management
Our graduates hold influential leadership roles in top construction management, commercial cost consulting, infrastructure, and facility management firms across Sri Lanka, the Middle East, the UK, Australia, North America, and Singapore.
🎯 Purpose of the Wishlist Initiative
Rapid technological advancements in the built environment—such as 5D BIM, automated laser surveying, infrared energy auditing, and specialized digital estimating suites—demand continuous updates to our laboratories and lecture studios.
While university allocations cover foundational teaching, specialized research tools, high-performance computing workstations, and industry-standard measurement kits often face budget constraints. This portal enables alumni, batches, and corporate partners to directly bridge specific, verified department needs.
